Part-time Studio Operator

630 CHED has an exciting opportunity for a part-time Studio Operator in our Edmonton studio. Reporting to the Program Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for competent operation of master control.
Responsibilities:
§ Board operator with duties to include log verification, call screening, technical operations, liaison with engineering, some news/sports clips gathering and other duties as required.
§ May include, Overnight and week-end news/morning news back up
Required skills and qualifications:
§ Ability to trouble shoot
§ Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
§ Good reading skills
§ Phone skills and manners
§ Proficient with computers. Knowledge of Burli and/or Maestro an asset
§ Able to operate/learn studio board
§ Interest in sports an asset
§ News reading/background preferred
§ A positive, friendly manner and customer service approach that enables the successful candidate to deal with challenging situations with empathy and sincerity.
§ A clean driving record and reliable transportation.
