EDMONTON/630CHED - Sure could use a little good news today....At four this morning a very unusual lull in sickness and injury settled over our city like a warm fuzzy blanket. Every paramedic on duty was taking a breather. All ambulances were safely tucked away in their stations. Every hospital ER had beds available if anyone showed up. One EMS Superintendent told CHED News it hasn't been this quiet for months. Then the creatures of the night began stirring and the pause that refreshes ended but it was nice while it lasted. Also last night, major airlines report all of their flights took off and landed safely.
