EDMONTON/630CHED - The Maytag repair man has a lot of work ahead of him.

U-S-based Maytag is recalling roughly 200-thousand Maytag and Jenn-Air dishwashers sold in Canada between July 1997 and June 2001, because of a fire hazard.

U-S Consumer Product Safety Commission spokesman Scott Wolfson says a leak from the liquid rinse aid receptacle is causing the problem.

The company reports one confirmed incident in Canada.
